遗传学

农业拓展遵循孟德尔遗传学，这意味着植物的基因组由一系列基因组成，其中每个基因由一对等位基因表示。

通常，一个等位基因会对另一个等位基因具有优势，后者被称为隐性。

例如，如果我们考虑基因“A”，其具有优势等位基因A和隐性等位基因a，则以下情况成立：

基因对A-A：两者均为优势，A将成为显性特征；
基因对A-a：A对a具有优势，因此A将成为显性特征；
基因对a-a：两者均为隐性，因此a将成为显性特征。

农业拓展默认包含多个基因，例如植物物种、每个统计数据以及对某些动物的吸引力。

在交叉育种两株植物时，子代作物将从每个亲本继承两个等位基因中的一个，因此，例如两株10-1的作物可能会产生以下后代：

10-10：从两个父母那里继承10：25%的几率
10-1：从第一个父母那里继承10，从第二个父母那里继承1，或者反之：50%的几率
1-1：从两个父母那里继承1：25%的几率

当发生这种情况时，有时会触发突变，这意味着基因中的一个会发生随机变化，例如现有的植物物种可能会突变成为新的物种，或者某个统计数据可能会随机上升或下降。突变对于改善作物并解锁新作物至关重要。

统计数据：

农业拓展默认包含6个统计数据：

成长：影响植物的生长速度，意味着更高的成长统计数据会导致植物更快地成熟；
产量：影响植物产生的水果数量；
强度：影响植物可以生长的位置（见生长要求）；
抗性：影响植物对杂草的抗性（见：杂草）；
肥力：影响植物参与杂交以产生后代的可能性；
突变性：增加在交叉育种时产生积极突变的可能性；

杂草：

啊，杂草，没有人喜欢杂草。

但是它们回来了，不过不是你所认识的那种，它们不会随机杀死植物，而是会在现有植物上生长并并行生长，竞争宝贵的资源，从而延迟你的作物生长。

建议不要让它们成熟，因为当杂草成熟时，它们倾向于束缚并最终杀死它们的宿主植物，并扩散到邻近的作物。

生长要求：

植物现在具有与土壤、季节、液体和光有关的非常具体的要求。每种土壤都具有某些特性，如湿度、酸度和营养物质，有些作物喜欢非常湿润的土壤，而其他作物则喜欢营养物质很少的土壤。此外，如果安装了添加季节的模组，农业拓展作物将识别这些季节，并仅在它们喜欢的季节生长。

还有传闻称，有些作物必须在水下栽培才能生长。
