Release 3.4 ties everything that was added with 1.21.5 nicely together! And yet again, I'm making it known that Geophilic's code is now on [**GitHub**](https://github.com/everloste/Geophilic).
### Additions
- Added sandstone boulders to the Desert
- Added dry grass to the Beach biome
- Added **Dunes**!
- Dunes are a new landscape feature found in the Desert
- They are made up of swaths of dry grass, dead bushes, flowers and cacti
- They also contain a significant amount of sandstone boulders
### Changes
- Dry grass can now generate in place of what used to only be dead bushes in the Desert
- In addition to this, there is now more of this dry vegetation
- Migrated the fallen tree feature from the block column type to the new fallen tree one
- Mushrooms as well as moss can generate on these fallen trees
- Dark Forests now have an increased amount of leaf litter
- Old Growth Birch Forests now get more wildflowers per wildflower
### Changes since last Snap
- Increased generation rates of leaf litters, wildflowers, and bushes in all relevant biomes
Geophilic version 3.4 is nearing release!
On top of that, Geophilic's source is now available on [**GitHub**](https://github.com/everloste/Geophilic).
### Changes
- Migrated the fallen tree feature from the block column type to the new fallen tree one
- Unlike vanilla, mushrooms as well as moss can generate on these fallen trees
- Dark Forests now have an increased amount of leaf litter
- Old Growth Birch Forests get more wildflowers per wildflower
This snap reworks the Desert biome. All additions and changes are exclusive to Minecraft 1.21.5.

Updated Geophilic to 1.21.5!
### Additions
- Added bush patches
- These generate in all the same biomes as vanilla
- Added firefly bush patches to the Swamp, River and the Wooded Badlands
- Added leaf litter to the Forest, Dark Forest and Wooded Badlands
- Added patches of wildflowers to the Birch Forest, Old Growth Birch Forest and Meadow
- Added patches of dry grass to the Desert and Wooded Badlands biomes
- Added cactus flowers to cacti spawns
### Changes
- Shifted around the magic numbers for grass generation
- The amount of grass coverage was significantly reduced
- The coverage should also now be a bit more consistent
- Significantly reduced occurrence of oak tree "roots"
Geophilic release 3.2 incorporates the Pale Garden rework!
- **Reworked the Pale Garden biome**
- Adjusted the biome's vegetation
- The Pale Oak has new variants that generate in the biome
- Touched up the Dark Forest biome rework
- Distribution of trees and vegetation was adjusted
- This also means giant mushrooms are now half as common
- The Dark Oak now has a new variant, with more interesting crowns, similar to what you can find in the Pale Garden
- Fixed bug where water could potentially generate on top of trees in the Stony Shores biome
**Changes from Snap 3.2-c:**
- Changed flower distribution in the Pale Garden, making Eyeblossoms somewhat more common
- Increased tree density in the Pale Garden
- Adjusted the slim root variant of the Pale Oak
This snap touches up the **Dark Forest** biome:
- The trees were changed up, and the dark oak now has a new variant, with more interesting crowns, similar to what you can find in the pale garden!
- The tree mix in the forest was modified to make the biome feel a bit more consistent. As a result of this, giant mushrooms will now generate half as much as before.
- The biome is now also a bit darker and eerier. This does mean mobs may spawn more often, so do test it out and see if that's to your liking.
This snap also fixes the bug where water could potentially generate on top of trees in the Stony Shores biome.
### Geophilic v3.1.0
- Adjusted feature distribution in the Savanna and its sub-biomes
- Adjusted biome colours of the Savanna, its sub-biomes, and Taiga biome
- Added improved default biome features to the Snowy Plains, River, and Wooded Badlands biomes without any major reworks
## Geophilic v3.0.0
This is the first (hopefully) stable release of Geophilic v3.0, a complete rewrite of the pack. It is fully compatible with the 1.20-1.21 version range and built for better, easier to maintain compatibility with future versions as well as other packs.
- Reworked pack
- (Mod) Added support for Quilt
### Geophilic v2.4.0
- Now compatible with Minecraft versions 1.20 through 1.21
- Forests should now be significantly denser
- Implemented new rework of the Meadow biome
- Implemented Geophilic Reforged rework of the Stony Shore biome
- Retired water lake feature from spawning
I'm happy to now release:
**Geophilic 2.0**!!
There was a lot reworked in 2.0. The most important changes are under the hood, where I mostly cleaned files up. On top of that though, the majority of biomes were redone **completely**, and now feel so much more alive than before! Feedback is still very welcome! There could be a few bugs that I haven't found while playtesting, so feel free to report those as well!
These are the changes when compared to vanilla:
**Forests** are completely revamped, with trees being taller and usually farther apart, making it much easier to traverse these biomes. Some chunks might have fewer trees than usual, creating small clearings. All forests now also feature rocks, bushes, fallen trees and tree stumps. Other flora, such as grass and flowers, is now also much more plentiful.
**Plains and savanna biomes** are now covered in much more flora. They can feature bushes, rocks, fallen trees and other things.
**Deserts** remain fairly unchanged. Cactuses spawn in larger patches and lava lakes are surrounded by sandstone. Sometimes you'll find dead trees too.
**Known issues**
Mushrooms seem to act really funny. I have encountered indestructible mushroom patches in my testing which I have yet to explain or find a solution for. It's really rare though, and you *can* destroy them by removing the block under them. Please report if it happens to you!
**Full list of biomes**
Badlands, Birch Forest, Dark Forest, Deep Ocean, Desert, Eroded Badlands, Flower Forest, Forest, Old Growth Birch Forest, Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Plains, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Snowy Plains, Snowy Slopes, Stony Shore, Sunflower Plains, Swamp, Taiga, Windswept Forest, Windswept Savanna, Wooded Badlands
**Other notes**
Stony Shore now has cool-looking stone pillars. This truthfully isn't something that'd be in vanilla, but they just look so cool. And Stony Shore is like the most boring biome anyway. Deep Ocean now also has cool pillar stones. If you have any suggestions on how I could improve ocean biomes, do leave a comment!
