Fabric Minecraft 1.16 - 1.20
[Pettable](
[Capybara](
你也可以使用交互热键(默认为 H 键)来绕过使用潜行交互。
1.4.7
- fix right click interact changing sitting/independence when e.g. feeding a pet
## 1.4.6
- port to 1.21.5 (thanks to OpenBagTwo for the help!)
- fix parrots losing their independence when dropping from a shoulder
- fix vanilla pets loading from chunks for the first time being independent
## 1.4.5
- [1.20.1, 1.19.2] compatibility for Critters and Companions' Dragonfly (they won't leave their home)
- require at least Fabric Loader 0.16.1
## 1.4.4
- \[1.21.4\] fix crash when spawning particles
## 1.4.3
- \[1.19.2+\] update Friends & Foes compatibility for 3.0.0+
(note: also removes compatibility code for older versions, so please update Friends & Foes)
- right click interact should be compatible with more mods
## 1.4.2
- Pets will try to escape when they are about to drown
- Cats will try to escape dangers and put themselves out of fire (vanilla bug fix for 1.16-1.18)
- add Chinese (zh_cn) translation, thanks to suoyukii!
## 1.4.1
- Goat Horns can be configured as a whistle! Each horn can be set individually with differing settings:
Whistle only, Unwhistle only, Toggle (which alternates between whistling and unwhistling) and Whistle / Sneak Unwhistle (which whistles while standing and unwhistles while sneaking)
Vanilla clients can use the `/indypets horns <horn_type> <setting>` command to configure each horn
`/indypets horn` by itself prints all current horn settings
- don't send player config to vanilla servers
- delay saving of server config to server shutdown
## 1.4.0
This is a large update to the mod, please make sure to read!
- Pets are **not** independent by default anymore and the relevant config options have been removed!
This is to be more inline with how vanilla works, especially with the next point:
- A pet's state is changed just like sitting is changed, i.e. Right Click will cycle between sitting, following and independent.
(Shift + Right click and whistling will still toggle following and independent directly, just like before.)
- There's new options to completely turn off the Right Click or Shift + Right Click interactions if wanted
(So you could use only Right Click, or only Shift + Right Click, or only IndyPets' Interact hotkey)
- Status messages for single pet interactions will now show above the hotbar instead of inside the chat
- Status messages now also say if the pet is sitting (`" (but sits)"`)
- Vanilla clients can use the new `/indypets config` command, allowing to view (`get`), change (`set`), and get descriptions for (`help`) the (limited amount of) options.
These settings are stored server-side.
- Some inconsistent interactions, e.g. relating to the blocklist, have been fixed.
- The project's code is now licensed under MIT (previously CC0).
No change for assets (CC0).

1.4.6
- port to 1.21.5 (thanks to OpenBagTwo for the help!)
- fix parrots losing their independence when dropping from a shoulder
- fix vanilla pets loading from chunks for the first time being independent
- proper backport to 1.17
- [1.16] fix drowning panic not using a valid position
## 1.4.5

1.4.5
- [1.20.1, 1.19.2] compatibility for Critters and Companions' Dragonfly (they won't leave their home)
- require at least Fabric Loader 0.16.1
## 1.4.4
- \[1.21.4\] fix crash when spawning particles

- Vanilla clients can use the new `/indypets config` command, allowing to view (`get`), change (`set`), and get descriptions for (`help`) the (limited amount of) options.
These settings are stored server-side.
- Some inconsistent interactions, e.g. relating to the blocklist, have been fixed.
- The project's code is now licensed under MIT (previously CC0).
No change for assets (CC0).
1.4.2

- added a new Interact hotkey (H by default) as an alternative for sneak interacting
- added a sneak interact blocklist, allowing to disable IndyPets' sneak interact for specific pet types.
This is useful for pets with conflicting sneak interactions like cobblemon, which are on the list by default.
To interact with them, you can whistle or use the Interact hotkey.
If you don't like to use the Interact hotkey, you can of course still use the old way of sneak interacting while holding a specific item (just remember to take them off the blocklist first).
- the descriptions of the blocklist and held item config options have been clarified.

"Home" is where your pet was last set independent (pets from before this update will use their current position).
To set a new home, simply shift interact your pet twice or whistle + unwhistle.
"Home" has a large radius of about 128 blocks; pets should not stray much further out than this (in comparison: whistle range is 96 blocks).

With this update, pets now will keep roaming around even if their owner is missing!
They will however still sit down if they are currently following you, to prevent them getting lost on your travels.
Whistle range has been increased from 64 to 96 blocks (6 chunks) in each direction, making it much easier to find that cat getting snacks from the neighbors.
A server-side issue of some player configs failing to deserialize has been fixed.

It also changes/fixes the vanilla AI behavior of tamed pets that caused e.g. wolves (but not cats) to stop wandering around if no player was nearby.
Your pets will now do their own thing even if you are not around!

Updated Korean translation by gyular!
**0.9.0**
Added whistle and unwhistle keybinds with some neat sound effects too!
Both keybinds can be bound to the same key to allow switching between the two (so it'll go whistle → unwhistle → whistle etc).
Added Korean translation thanks to gyular!
(I badly translated the newly added entries myself, sorry in advance!)

Fix server crash due to loading GUI code
## 0.8.0
This update adds two mod compatibility options:
- Blocklist
Allows to disable IndyPets for certain pets, reenabling vanilla's follow+teleport behavior and disabling IndyPets' sneak-interact.
Defaults to the snails from [Lovely Snails](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/lovely-snails) (because they never follow and IndyPets would block the sneak-interaction) and all mounts from [Mythic Mounts](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/mythic-mounts) (because they can't follow with the default config and some have sneak-interactions too).
- Interact only while holding an item
Can be set to any item like a stick, bone or air (to require an empty hand). Can be left empty to ignore the held item (default).
This is useful to be able to interact with certain modded pets, e.g. the [Capybara](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/capybara-fabric) which uses sneak-interact while holding a stick to switch between sitting and standing.
Both features work on a per-player basis on servers thanks to client → server config synchronization. For "vanilla" clients (clients without IndyPets), the server gets to decide.

0.7.1
0.7.0
- client → server config synchronization
- /indypets whistle and unwhistle commands
- rudimentary particle effects as an alternative to text messages
Config synchronization means that each player on a server can now have their own settings!
The settings are automatically synchronized simply by having IndyPets installed.
Vanilla clients can still join an IndyPets server, but they won't be able to have personal settings (... yet?)
<br>
The whistle and unwhistle commands are for making all nearby pets follow you or be dismissed again, useful to command your army of wolves!
Both commands can take an optional type of pets you want to address.
Auto-completion will show you which types of pets are around, so no need for guessing.
<br>
When text messages are disabled, making a pet follow you will show "happy villager" particles, aka green sparks.
(The reason for not using heart particles here is to make it less confusing when Pettable is installed)
Dismissing a pet will show "angry villager" particles, don't worry, they still love you!
0.5.2
This means if you e.g. disable "Parrots are independent by default", every new parrot you tame will start out following you.
0.5.1
The mod now requires Fabric API again.
It also doesn't try to synchronize the pet's "following" state with the client anymore, which caused error logs on vanilla clients.
