末影扩展的重点是改善末地的各个方面，尽管处于早期测试版，但已经显著地添加了一个具有独特机制和视觉效果的整个生物群系，以及对用于在原版中进行传送的末地井和末地传送门的视觉改进。坐标森林可以在末地的外岛上偶尔被找到（在那里也可以生成唱片生物群系）。
更多的生物群系将在未来添加，但目前，该模组显著添加了一个名为坐标森林的全新且独特的生物群系。
