Important: If you're using Oh The Biomes You'll Go (BYG config tweak):
It seems that the Small End Islands biome weight is set to 0 by default. Since Unusual End adds mechanics related to new small islands types in this biome, adjusting the weight to a value around 2-3 could prevent BYG from interfering with Unusual End mechanics. To make this change, go to the BYG config and modify the weight of the small_end_islands biome.
Unusual End builds upon the existing lore of the vanilla End and introduces new content while maintaining the classic style and ambiance of the dimension. The mod aims to address the lack of content in the End without overwhelming it with excessive or generic ideas.
General
- Vegetation has been added to the End Highlands, including Chorus Roots, Endstone Sprouts, Chorus Fungus, and Purpur Grass, creating a more lively environment. The End Midlands, on the other hand, remain empty, preserving the original atmosphere. The new vegetation serves various purposes, such as crafting Ender Stews to replenish hunger or Chorus Juice to clear the Ender Infection effect.
- Chorus has been modified to introduce new mechanics. Breaking a Chorus Stem now has a chance to spawn an Endermite, and Chorus Flowers can be sheared to obtain Chorus Petals.
- Additional elements include Raw Purpur blocks, Infested End Stone patches, and Undead Enderlings, undead monsters representing the ancient inhabitants of the dimension, corrupted by the Void.
End Highlands - Midlands
The End Highlands are now home to the Ender Firefly and the Enderblob. Ender Fireflies can be tamed and will hunt Endermites and Enderblobs. Enderblobs, on the other hand, inflict Ender Infection and can hatch Endermites.
Small End Islands
Gloopstone Nests and Warped Islands Patches are new island types with unique characteristics and inhabitants, adding depth to the End's landscape.
Structures & Boss
Various new structures, such as Ruins, Wanderer's House, End House, Warped Ship, and Ancient End City, have been added, including a custom boss, the Endstone Golem.
Alchemy & Enchanting
The mod introduces several new potions and enchantments, expanding the range of alchemical and enchanting possibilities for players.
Other
Unusual End features a range of new functional blocks, including the Shulker Shooter, Dragon Lamp, Teleportation Anchor, Gloopstone Lamp, Ender Respawn Altar, Purpur Tank, and Fading Block, offering diverse gameplay options for players.
