Tinker's MetalWorld (TMW)
Welcome to Tinker's MetalWorld! TMW is a modpack centered around the Tinker's Construct mod. The main concept of this pack is to incorporate TC, most TC addons, as well as some simple storage management mods, while still providing a relatively vanilla gameplay experience. The pack's development status, as of December 4th, 2022, is briefly outlined below:
State of Development, December 4th, 2022:
After a considerable hiatus, TMW is back in development. The latest update of Tinker's Construct now supports Minecraft releases beyond 1.12, allowing the modpack's development to align with these newer versions. The releases of TMW will, however, follow the order of Minecraft versions, starting with 1.12. This will enable players to choose the version they prefer. It may take some time before TMW is available on 1.18, for instance, but rest assured it is a future goal. The current versions available for TMW are as follows:
- 1.12.2: Release 1.0
- 1.10.2: Release 1.1
- 1.7.10: Release 3.0
- 1.6.4: Release 1.0
Additionally, a beta release for 1.12 is pending, providing an opportunity for interested players to explore the new features.
Future Plans:
The modpack's creator, GlitterStorm, intends to develop a port for 1.12.2, which is expected to be available in beta soon. However, the prospect of a 1.15.2 port for Tinker's Construct remains uncertain, as the developers have not updated the mod to the new forge. Despite this, there is hope for an update, and plans for the future of the modpack remain optimistic.
GlitterStorm also recently released a backport to Minecraft 1.6.4, providing an alternative version for those interested in exploring a different era of Minecraft.
Update: 9/3/19
The modpack's creator expresses gratitude for the overwhelming support, with nearly 1000 downloads. This support has prompted a renewed focus on the project. Plans for an update to the main pack, as well as a port for 1.10.2, are underway. Although there are no guarantees of increased activity, GlitterStorm aims to remain engaged with the project going forward.
